Frequently asked questions
Everything about what Two Sides is — and what it isn't.
What is Two Sides?
A free web tool for couples who keep having the same argument. You each tell your side privately, and you both get one shared picture of what's actually going on — plus one small agreement to try.
How does it work?
One of you starts and invites the other with a private link. You each tell your side in a private chat, like texting a friend — neither of you sees the other's words. When you're both done, you receive the same shared reflection: what you agree on, what you're both missing, and one small step to try this week.
Do we both have to join?
No. “Help Now” lets one of you start alone and get a calm reflection, practical next steps, and a message worth sending — in about five minutes. You can invite your partner afterwards, or not at all.
Will my partner see what I wrote?
Never. Your words stay yours. The only thing you both see is the shared reflection — and it's written so neither side's private words are exposed.
Is this therapy? Is it a chatbot?
Neither. It isn't couples therapy and doesn't replace it — if there's real hurt or safety involved, a professional is the right support. And it's not another chatbot to argue with: it listens to both of you separately and mirrors back the picture you're both missing.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. There are no accounts, no sign-up, and no paid tier.
What happens to what we share?
Sessions are anonymous and delete themselves after 7 days — or immediately, whenever you tap “Delete everything now”. Chat messages are read once to respond and never saved.
Read the privacy pageWe're in the middle of it right now — what should we do?
If things feel too hot, take the built-in 20-minute cooldown break first. If you're about to fire off a message you might regret, run it through the tone check. When you're both calmer, tell your sides.
